Typical fire alarm systems are comprised of the following devices:

• Main Fire Alarm Control Panel

  Ties all the elements of the system together, provides status reports on each zone. The control panel is also connected via phone line or cellular communicator to a monitoring service, just like a security system.

• Smoke/Heat Detectors

  Detectors can work in one of several ways, but are most commonly either smoke or heat detectors. Often, a combination of both provides the best protection. Duct detectors and carbon monoxide detectors can be incorporated to enhance Life Safety.

• Pull Stations

  "In case of fire, break glass!" Manual fire alarms are another important part of your fire alarm system: if someone sees a fire start, pulling a manual alarm can lead to a much faster response than waiting for a passive detector.

• Horns & Lights

  Strobe lights and loud bells or horns together do the best job of getting people's attention and making them leave the building. At SafeAlert Protection, we can determine exactly how many of each you need for optimum coverage.

• Backup Battery

  Fire can easily disrupt your main power supply – a backup battery ensures that the system will always be able to respond.
